"You Don't Know Wat? - 1999 Canadian Quiz Championship" hosted by Waterloo Quiz Bowl was held on February 6, 1999. The eight competitors in "YDKW: CQC'99" were Ottawa, Queen's, Waterloo (Alpha, Beta & Gamma), Waterloo Physics Club, Western (Alpha & Beta). Toronto and Queen's Beta were also scheduled to participate but could not attend the tournament. The final was a showdown between Western Alpha and the Waterloo Physics Club (two time winners of the Waterloo intramural tournament). Western Alpha defeated Waterloo Physics Club, 250 - 140, to capture the 1999 Canadian Quiz Championship. Congratulations to Western Alpha for winning the tournament. They are now invited to participate in NAQT ICT in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Thank you to everyone who played and helped out with the tournament. This was the second Canadian National Quiz Tournament in two years. In last year's tournament hosted by Queen's, Queen's A d. Cornell to win the tournament. The entire field in this year's tournament was composed of Canadian teams. Results: A full round robin was played to seed the teams for the playoffs. Ties were broken with head-to-head record.
